JEnnas First dance

Here are some pictures of Jenna from her dance Friday night. Her school had an end of the year dance for 3rd-6th grades.

Jr and I were at an appointment with Mycah so Kendra did her hair and helped her get dressed.. she took some pics for me :) Can you believe she is turning 10 and now going into the 5th grade.

End of the school year

Well I can not believe we have almost been here ONE WHOLE YEAR. May 30th will be one year for me Jenna and Mycah (jr came before us and Kendra came end of summer break).

I can not believe the school year is coming to an end. Tomorrow is the un offical last day of high school. Tomorrow they have stuff the first half the day, the 2nd half is just classroom clean up. The kids can leave at 1130 with a parent note. So Kendra is driving tomorrow so that she and Mycah and leave early.

So I would ASSUME that tomorrow is the last day. But the kids informed me that there is also school on Friday. It is ONLY for kids who need to take make up finales. BUT if you dont go, you will be marked absent.. what ever.. Mycah might need to go, because I took them out early today for a dental appointment. He didnt think he had a final in JROTC, but he might have, so he might have to go Friday.

They took EOTY (end of the year) Tests. These are not finals, but yearly testing where you fill in the bubble, mulipul choice, timed tests. They got their science results back today. Mycah for a 93%. The HIGHEST grade for all kids in 9th grade science!!!! Kendra is also in 9th grade science (she had to make up a lost credit from moving).. she has had an A all year long.. great grades on all classroom tests..etc.. and Mycah beat her on the EOTY testing..

I tried to tell him that he is very smart, he has great potental.. he needs to show it ALL year long!!

Kendra did get a good enough grade on her final in Math to keep her A.. I dont know any other grades for the kids.

As for the summer. Mycah will be going to Arizona for alittle over a month in June. I am flying with him to help him get there, and learn how to use the airport for his flight home, and to get away myself too.. I will be there 4 days. We will be there for Mycahs 15th birthday and also for fathers day.

Kendra, I am not sure what she is doing this summer. She is hoping to see her boyfriend who lives in Missouri, but I dont know what is going on with that whole situation.

As for Jenna, she has school next week, but it is only 2 1/1 days and they are play and party days... so instead Sunday night we are driving her to Atlanta to where Tera will be.. and we are dropping jenna off with Tera.. she will go home with her for a week or two, then she will head on to Jrs Grandmas house for afew weeks.

Thats about it from us..Jr and I are working working working!!!

Mycah and the ER again..

SO yesterday the school called and said mycah was in the nurse with severe abdominal pain. Jr went and picked him up alittle before noon. He came home and he slept the rest of the day. I woke him up around 10pm to drink some sprite and he went back to sleep more. Around 1am or so he came into the bedroom complaining about being in more pain and he wanted us to take him to the ER so they could stop the pain. Jr was alittle annoyed thinking, what can they do .. your just constipated..lol (which mycah has had a problem with before).. so before they head out the door, Mycah says, "i know whats wrong" and we said what??? he said he testical was swolled again.

Last May he had this problem when we were in Tenn and he ended up in the hospital over night for like 5 nights and then a week later ended up there again for another 5 nights.

So Jr took him in and they got him in very quickly. Worried about torsion.. they got him in for ultra sounds right away. The blood flow and everything in that area was good, so no major problems. But just like last year, he has some weird infection. Only on the left side. They gave him IV pain meds, IV anti biotics (3 different ones) and fluids. He came home around 830 am. He has more anti biotics to take at home, vicodin for pain and anti nausea to take with the vicodin.

He has to go see a pediatric urologist.. again.. (last year he did too..)

Mothers Day

What a wonderful day today was. One of the best Mothers Days I have ever had. I woke up not early. I dont think I heard the kids at all this morning. It was nice. Jr and I woke up together. He got up and made me breakfsat. Good thing he asked me what I wanted, because normally I like pan cakes and waffuls, but I was thinking a scrambled egg sandwhich.. so I told him, and he made it.. wonderful! YUMMY.

Still laying in bed, I used my laptop for awhile and watched some TV. My cell phone rang, and I noticed it was my work, but I didnt have enough signal so I called back with the house phone. "guess what", Armon says.. he goes on to tell me, that the girl who was supposed to work had a sudden death in the family and wasnt going to make it, I was the only one who could really come in.. (if I would.. PLEASE???)

I said ok. Even though it was mothers day, and I knew the kids and Jr would be bummed. But they had work covered until like 430, so I didnt have to go in all day. SO I went back to sleep until 330. Got up showered and the kids and Jr suprised me with necklaces. They made them while I was asleep. The first one was from the kids. It is 3 seperate flip flops (since I am a flip flop freak!!) One for each kid. Jrs was similar but it was 2 flip flops connected.. I wore them to work!

I figured while I was at work for 3 hours, they could get things cleaned up, and dinner ready and have my PARTY ready for me when I came home..LOL.. I kept saying PARTY and getting all excited, as to try and get them all excited for "just another dinner" LOL

I came home and Kendra met me at the front door with the computer chair with wheels on them. She made me close my eyes and she wheeled me to the back door where Jenna and Mycah and JR put leis around my neck. They did a Hawaiian them. The table cloth was one I had picked up last week and hadnt used yet. Bamboo looking. I had a coconut cup with a pina colada, there were mini tiki torches on the table and Jr BBQed steak and pineapple rings. It was all so yummy. And dinner went nicely. :)

I had a very nice mothers day.
