Another Beach day

So, seems like I have been getting one weekend day off each week and with the weather being so nice lately, we have been taking a beach trip every weekend.

What I like about being here, is that each weekend we try out a different beach, a different island and have a different experience.

This weekend we went to St Simons Island. A friend recommened it. We have driven past it before, but my impression was that it was TOTAL touristy.. lots of little shops and people everywhere and crowded.. not my idea of relaxing. But we gave it another try. We were not sure where we were going once we got on the island, but we turned down a street and found a dead end that said beach access.. so we parked in the little dirt lot and went to take a look.

Definatly different from the other beaches we have been to. All of the others are like LOTS and LOTS of white soft sand.. and some sand dunes. This place was big rocks up against the side to make a barrier, and then the sand between the rocks and where the water currently was (high tide had passed and the water was headed back out).. the sand was wet sand.. basically at high tide the water comes all of the way up to the rocks.. which in return left some neat tiny tide pools for the kids to look at.

First thing we saw was a "rock" in the sand. Humm what is that we wondered. So Mycah and Jenna were messing with the rock and poking at it and trying to lift it up.. then it moved.. and the kids were screaming..LOL. Mycah kept digging at it, jumping back afew times as it moved.

Ended up being a crab.. good size and alive. JR took it and washed it off in the water and put it on the sand for us to watch.. it had a thing for me cause no matter where I moved it followed me. I was trying to get a good pick and it went where ever I went. It was really cool cause it was eating something. We guess a shrimp.. you can see it in the pics.

We went walking down the beach a ways.. My day started off kinda crappy.. I had to talk mycah into coming with us to the beach (I knew once he went he would be fine).. Kendra was alittle grumpy about something, so I went off.. everyone was pissing me off, It was my one day off and I was wasting my time around people who were pissing me off.. SCREW YOU ALL.. so Kendra got mad and went to the car, so I got mad and went back to the car too and said everyone get your stuff, play in the water, so we can go home!!

I grabbed a towel, sat my ass down on it on the wet sand and pouted.. Kendra laid out, Jenna went in the water and jr and I argued alittle. I rolled over and cried, Mycah and JR went for a walk down the beach, Kendra ended up following them and Jenna stayed to dig in the dirt and talk my ear off. After awhile Jr and Kendra came back from down the beach. they were all excited and talking about everything they saw and wanted me and Jenna to come with them. I still was pouting and said NO.. So jenna went with them, I rolled over and went to sleep and had a great nap.

While down the beach, the tide was rolling out and a sand bar was accessable.. from the sand bar they saw lots of mana rays (they think), and a puffer fish. They made sand castles and just had a great time.. GOOD FOR THEM!! lol

Today was the first day wehave gone to the beach this year for an actual BEACH DAY.. (we have gone afew times to watch the sun rise etc)..

Spring/summer 09 Beach season has arrived!!

It was wonderful. I fell asleep on the blanket and got burned (YES.. future tan!!) The kids played in the water. I thought it was too cold, but they had a great time. Even kendra was out in the waves. And they used there beach toys that they recieved for easter. Kendra dropped her bucket full of sand on her toe and hurt herself..

Everyone ended up with alot of color and a great day of fun. Mycah even flew his kite for awhile. was alittle too windy for his smaller kite.

Now we are home and getting laundry done for the kids to go back to school tomorrow. Spring break is DONE! Only one more month of school left!

Yes, it was her!!

So this morning, a lady calls and tells me she got my email and has my dog! She says she is coming on base, and I tell her to call me when she gets here and I will meet her anywhere.

So she calls about 15 minutes later and said to meet her at the PX parking lot.. so Jr and I jump in his jeep, and drive up there (2 miles away).. we pull into the parking lot and they are parked with WIllow out of the car with them on a leash.. it is so wonderful to see her. She sees Jr first and she squats down like she is in trouble but inches towards him.. I come around, (cause Jr parked with my side away from her..) and so squat down and she starts whining and crying and licking my face.. OH it was wonderful!!. She missed us.. I can tell..

they said they found her in our housing area the night she was missing. They live off base so they took her home. They have 2 other dogs but they said she got along great with them. She said WIllow was wonderful.. I said I KNOW!!!

SO I am so happy to have my girl back. My other beagle who is older (and bitchier) was not as thrilled..LOL. She was alittle more protective of me like "this is MY mom"..lol

OH joy oh joy!

Happy Easter

I hope you all had a great Easter. My day started early. I didnt go to sleep till after 2am, because I was online.. then my alarm went off at 830am. Jenna had already came in and woke me to ask if she could go see what the Easter Bunny left.. so I got up at 830, and got ready for work. I had to be there by 915.

Of coarse our 10am person called in sick, so it was just me and one other person. We were fine, but sucked cause we couldnt leave to go to the bathroom or get a drink or anything. Luckily our manager came in to help out, so we had another person there. Then our next person came in at 1pm, the other guy took his break, and when he came back I was able to go home..

We made a nice ham dinner and played a game. Now just sitting around watching tv.

I think she has been found!!!

Ok so after like a 2 hour walk today.. Jr Jenna and I took the other 2 dogs on a VERY VERY long walk, across the road and over along the bushes.. yelling and whistling the pups name.. hoping she would come running out. She didnt, but that walk sure felt pretty good, might start trying to do that more often.

Anyways, so feeling sad and desperate I got bored and was online and looking up the animal shelters in the area.. then I did a google search for LOST DOG FORT STEWART and there was a link for craigs list.. and someone posted a pic of my baby girl Willow.. said they found her on Ft Stewart Thursday night.. I sent an email and gave my phone numbers.. now just waiting to hear something!!! WIll keep you posted!

Missing dog

What is it about my youngest kid and my youngest Dog??? I have 2 girls and a boy for kids and dogs.. and I swear my kids match up with their dog.. Kendra and Zoey are the oldest, Mycah and boone are the boys and middle "child" and Jenna and Willow are the wild young ones..

My baby girl is missing. She is our youngest dog we have in the home. She is about 2 1/2 years old. She is a beagle. We always call her my dog (moms dog). She is my baby. She lets me carry her on her back, and she lets me put clothes on her ..(hummm re thinking the WHY part of why she might have ran away..LOL)..

All humor aside. 2 night ago, We let the dogs out back so we could eat dinner without them being in the house. After about an hour, I said something about the dogs being outside and then mentioned we hadnt heard them for awhile. I asked if they were still even out there. Jenna opened the door and said NO.. we thought she was joking around, and realized OMG she is not joking. The fence was open.. it had been like an hour since we let them out.. no telling WHERE they all ran off to..

So we jumped up and went looking. We looked for like 3 hours. After about an hour Kendra got a call from a friend who asked if our dog was missing. Zoey (the oldest who will be 4 next month) was across the street from the house. Mycah got her and brought her home. After about another hour Mycah saw boone over by a pond, and got boone to run after him home (mycah was on his bike).. 2 down one to go.. my little girl is STILL MISSING. Its been over 28 hours. UGH It is breaking my heart, to not know where she is...
Did someone pick her up and has her at their home, is she dead, is she out in the woods??? I need answers. I hate not knowing. Even if she is dead somewhere I would rather know so I dont sit and think about it. We have went out driving every day looking, we put up signs today.. and we have gone by the 2 shelters and left our numbers..

I MISS MY WILLA-ROO (aka Willow). I keep hoping I will open my front door and she will just be there sitting on my front step looking at me like "hi mommy, did you miss me?"

cheese cake

mycah sold cheese cake awhile ago for JROTC. I decided to get one, and I picked the Recess Peanut Butter Cup Cheese Cake. OH it sounded yummy and it was one of the more expensive ones. But hey it was worth it right?? Money going to a good cause and its cheese cake, what could be wrong??

OK so bummed.. Wel the cheese cake itself has GREAT flavor. The Peanut butter cup part is where they went wrong. I guess I should have paid attention to the name. It said "peanut butter cup cheese cake" NOT "peanut butter cup"s".. I SWEAR they took just one mini peanut butter cup and smashed it and sprinkled it on top. One side had almost none.. and there was NONE mixed into the cheese cake itself.. which I was under the impression it would be.

I hope that the people who ordered from Mycah enjoyed their cheese cakes!!

Kendra got her license

Well after all the drama for the darn DMV here, we offically have a teen driver in the home (and soon Mycah will have his permit too..ACKKK!!). We went to the DMV on Saturday like the lady told us. She said if we came on Saturday that we could get both parts done in one day. Kendra had to take the written and the behind the wheel. So we get there and the lady we see says that she doesnt think we will get to take the behind the wheel part that day..UGH bull shit.. so I say ok its better to at least get the written one done, and get her a GA permit so she can drive some more (her Missouri one expired back in Jan).. well so she goes to take the written test and when she was done (and passed!!) they signed us up and told us to go wait .. we assumed for the behind the wheel part.

We were watching the other people before her and everyone had the 2 ladies in their car. The younger black lady was up front and the bitchy old lady in the back seat. I guess the one tells you where to go and the other grades you.. UGH.. so after like 2 people, the older lady comes and gets this other guy who came after us (he might have had an appointment) but that lady goes by herself without the other lady.. the other lady comes in and gets Kendra and takes her by herself..YEAHno bitchy old lady.

First they did a road coarse in the back parking lot. To include paralelle parking. Kendra had a minor mistake on that, but only tried one time (you can try 2 times).. then they did some backing up (she said Kendra went to slow..lol) and they did some fast breaking. Then they went off into some residential areas. Kendra said she was not nervous at all.

She got a 93 on her driving test.

That night we went to the drive in. Jenna rode with Kendra in Jrs jeep and we took my car and met the girls there. JR was excited and took some pictures of Kendra in his jeep before we went :)

Military Ball and Girls

I have not blogged in forever so I am going to do afew mini blogs with some pics to update everyone.

Mycah went to the JROTC ball and I took afew pictures before he went. He did go alone, and he said he had a TERRIBLE time. He was very sad when I picked him up. In the end he is glad he went but said he would not go again without a date!
