Bad Friends

What happens when you dont like your kids friends? I am at a loss. I DO NOT like one of Jennas friends, for good reasons. I don't want to hurt the little girls feelings in not letting Jenna play with her, and it is Jenna's main best friend, but, I have to be strict with Jenna now, because I know she is gunna be the one to push all my limits as a teen. And she is only 9 now.. I am afraid of what is to come.

OK I will give you alittle back ground..LOL.. This girls name is Johanna. She is also 9 and in the 4th grade with Jenna. She lives 2 doors down from us. Her mom just moved to Washington to get a job, because the dad and the 3 kids will be moving to Washington also. So right now it is the dad and the 3 kids. WHen we moved in the mom warned me about all the other kids in the neighborhood and how her kids cant play with them, because they are bad kids and stuff. I thought this would be a good friend for Jenna.. I was thinking they were a semi strict family.. I dont want someone over strict. but you know.. well that is not the case.

Jenna is far from perfect.. and no where what Kendra was at her age. Again, I know Jenna will be a whole other case. But since we have been living here (one month) she has gotten in trouble more then the whole time we were in missouri combined. EVERY time it involves Johanna.

Lets see lets make a list of the things I KNOW:Some how they "found" 2 digital cameras on the side of the road.. I dont know if they work or not, but kinda weird. They aquired sun glasses from a yard sale. Jenna said the lady gave them to her for free, Mycah said he heard Johanna say they were going to steal them, Jenna said that Johanna said she was gunna put hers in her pocket and steal them but Jenna said the lady gave her her pair.. , Jenna used a magic marker to draw a face on her stomach..permanent ink.. , and most recently.. Jenna shaved her eye brows and her legs.. that topped the list for me. Her eye brows are half gone, her legs totally shaved.. she has 2 razers hidden under her bed.

I give her credit for being 100% honest with me on the razer ordeal.. I told her that. I just dont know what to do..

Kendra part 2

Well, so last week I took Kendra to the Drs here. We have ALWAYS been seen on base. The hospitals have DRs clinics and you just get seen on base. 17 Years of this. At this base, they are so booked up and have too many patients you can choose to pick a regular DR in the real world off base. So I picked to still get seen on base, I like "normalacy" for me. Well we got a letter in the mail telling us SORRY we have too many patients your new DR is "name here".. so.. we are seeing a civilian DR. SO I made Kendra an appointment to get refills on her meds mainly. She also happened to be getting sick so it was perfect. Well the DR tells her she has allergies and starts her on meds, and also put her on full time meds for her every day headaches.. well afew days later after she had been on her meds a couple days, she was feeling TERRIBLE. Her head aches were worse and she was super dizzy. She was still coughing alot at night too. Monday night she could not sleep at all. She couldnt even stand up she felt so weak. So she stayed home Tuesday. Well Tuesday night she went to try and sleep and she was coughing again. She couldnt get a good breath.. Jr ended up taking her to the ER last night. They said she might have asthma. They put her on a breathing treatment machine and were watching her pulse/oxy for awhile. She felt alot better afterwards. He also said that she should not be taking all those meds the DR gave her.. so now I need to get her another appointment with her DR and try and figure out what is going on.

She is out of school for one more day.. yesterday, today and tomorrow.. she still feels terrible.

New Job

So, I started my new job yesterday. I am going to start as a teller at the PX (store on base) like I was doing in Missouri. I will have crappy hours. Anywhere from like 830am-10pm.. and even worse around the holidays when the store opens early, and they do the midnight madness sales.. the bank has to stay open to do the cashiers money bags..

But I choose this location.. sorta.. I at first wanted the main bank here on base. It is 2 miles from the house, and a normal bank. 9-5 M-F. BUT then I was thinking.. if I ever need to make the kids a DRs appointment, I will have to take a day off from work. So then I was thinking I wanted to work at the bank inside of the Wal Mart in town (all of these banks I am talking about are the same company, they have 6 different locations in town and on base). Anyways, the walmart branch is open Mon-Sat. I would ALWAYS have Sundays off, I would have at least 1 sat off a month and then one other day off a week. Work days would be LONG.. you have 4 10 hour days.. and the 3 days off. BUT they dont start work until 1030am and they are off by 8pm. So I could sleep in and I would be home earlier then I was in missouri..

Ok so the main bank on base, although it would be nice to be off every weekend and ever night with the family, there was NO room for movement there and I wanted some day times off.. so I wanted walmart and she was gunna give me that job, but then she called me.. she asked if I was TOTALLY agains working at the PX branch.. I said I was open to anything, I just want to work. So she told me I have GREAT chances at movement there. She said the ASsistant manager is leaving in Oct, and she was not promising me that spot, but that I would make a GREAT candidate for it with all of my training. (the tellers here ONLY do teller stuff like cashing checks and deposits) I was doing new accounts and all account maintanance..etc..

So I went for that one. It is 2 miles from my house also.. but the hours are 9-9 every day.. alittle earlier to open alittle later to close. THey are open on holidays and weekends..etc. They are closed Christmas day. I will have at least 2 days off a week. At least 1 weekend off per month.

They said I have the potential to be an assistant manager and a branch manager in the 3 years while I am here.

So I started training yesterday. It was mainly picking 6 DIFFERENT confusing passwords. Some had to be 8 digits, with one being a number and one a symbol, nothing could repete.. the next was 6 letters, the next was 7..it was confusing for so many different ones.

Today we had basic rules, sexual harrasment..etc.. and then the teller teacher took over. We took some notes and we will have a test tomorrow. There are 33 different branches and She listed them .. she will give us a list.. and we have to put what branch it is.. like #1 is the hinesville main branch, the main branch on base is #2, the one I will be working at is #6..etc..

I have 2 weeks of this training. Everything seems to be going well so far. I am happy to be back to work, and I cant wait to see a PAYCHECK!!! UGHH its been rough with no money coming in since the end of March.. execpt jrs money.. its been BEYOND tight!

Revenge

Kendra and JR have a back and forth "revenge" thing going on. The other night Kendra was in bed with me and Jr was down stairs. Kendra was supposed to do dishes and we heard JR around the sink, so we thought he was doing dishes. He came up afew minutes later and told Kendra to "GET DOWN and do dishes".. after she left, he laughed and said he fixed the sink to spray her with the hand held hose when she turned the water on. He went down and made sure he took her phone away from her so it would not get wet.. she went to do dishes and the water sprayed her. I heard her yell.. "WHO DOES THINGS LIKE THIS?" and they were laughing. Jr denies it was him.. Kendra believed him. She thought the rubber toy that was "stuck" between the wall and the sprayer just happened to be there. I told her he did it.. so she was like OHHHHH I will get him back. We were trying to think of what to do. She thought about putting plastic wrap on the toilet and I said no because I would be the one to clean it.

We bought some of the window chalk from the store, and at night when Jr went to sleep we went out and wrote on his windows of his jeep. She wrote LOVE YA on the one side window and a smiley face on the drivers window.. on the back window we wrote BOB THAT HEAD which is a country song her and Jr like.. we also wrote HAHAHA on the front door so he would see that before he went out and it would be a hidden clue..

SO he went to work.. he didnt even see the front door until he came home, so the warning didnt help. He saw the LOVE YA right away.. as he was walking around the back he noticed the back and wipped that off cause he wasnt going to drive around with BOB THAT HEAD on the back of his jeep..LOL.. he didnt even notice the smile on his window till he was driving to work and looked over..LOL

SO now it is his turn.. what will he do. Kendra is PARANOID.. she is worried about what he will do. Will he post her panties on the front door.. in the yard.. she thinks about it all of the time.. he on the other hand isnt even thinking about it.. which is funnier.. she is worried about something that he isnt thinking about.. but he said he does need to do something but he doesnt know what..

Jenna

Last night Kendra and I were watching TV and trying to study for Kendra's Nursing test today, and Jenna comes down the stairs and says to me "Mom, I think there is something wrong with my insides".. LMAO.. ok where does a kid come up with this.. she then tells me her poop is black..

First off I find it very intresting that she knows there is a problem if her poop is a wierd color.. and black, not being good.. so I tell her next time she goes, not to flush so I can see.. guess what.. she is smart.. she did not flush so I could see.. so I go see.. yes it looks dark black. I sit and wonder, small worries in my mind cause.. moms worry! SO then I flush and it turns more of a dark purple and CHERRIES cross my mind.. I had bought fresh cherries and I dont know how much she has had.. she had quite afew..

That poor girl got the shits so bad from eating cherries.. her butt was raw within an hour of telling me .. I gave her some anti-diareha meds cause she was crying that she didnt want to go any more..LOL..

She said Kendra and I will have to keep her away from the cherries if she asks for them.. about 10 minutes later I was putting something in the fridge and she saw the cherries and she says OHHH I just love them and I want them!! Even though she was raw and in pain..lol

That girl is a crack up. She is off today for a teacher work day.. Kendra and Mycah are at school. I am glad I am not working yet, cause who would stay with her.. she would just end up with Jr at work I guess. As I am sitting here she is talking away, this girl does not shut up I tell ya!! She talked the whole way to FL airport when we picked up Kendra.. 2 full hours, the only time she wasnt talking to JR and I was when her phone rang and it was her friend and she was talking to them.

OK so that is my update on Jenna!

Kendra

Kendra went for her first Drs appointment yesterday, here in GA. We are doing something different here. Normally, we get seen at the hospital on the military bases. They have all different types of clinics right there in the hospital. Well they are over booked here and they make us go off base so I had to pick a DR for us to see. At first the kids were going to a male pediatrician and I was going to a male Dr.. Kendra really wanted a female DR.. I search and there was on female, but she too was booked. Well I found a Family Practice DR who was female and she had openings, so all 4 of us get to go to the same DR. We met her for the first time yesterday and Kendra and I REALLY liked her. She as nice, funny, totally concerned, caring, thourough.. It was a first time appointment and she took LOTS of notes. Kendra was laughing cause there were like 2 pages of hand written notes by the time we left..LOL.. Kendra has lots of issues..

Our main item was birth control.. (not for those reasons) she has been taking them for the last year for her periods which she has major problems with and cysts.. and since she has been taking pills she has had NO problems and she is so much happier..LOL.. well she ran out this summer while in CA and I didnt get her refill .. so she has had a terrible last few months. So we got new meds for that.

Plus she was sick with a cold.. which we found out is ALLERGIES.. who would have thought.. she has never had allergies.. Its always been Mycah and Jenna who have had no problems here.. so now kendra will be on a daily pill and a nasal spray..

Kendra also has a bunyon on her foot so we are going back to a podiatrist, she has minor scoliosis, which we will just monitor, she has DAILY headaches so she is being put on a daily med for headaches..

She had a concusion last last year and still has problems from that, so they are re doing a CT scan to check on everything.

She also had some torn ligaments or something in her wrist last year.. and still has alot of wrist pain so she needs to wear a wrist guard at least at night.

They are doing a full blood panel on her too.. to check for anemia or Hypoglacemia.. because if she doesnt eat.. first off she is a BIG BITCH, she gets headaches, and she is really dizzy like she stood up to fast.. as soon as she eats.. she is fine.. her mood is great and she feels good.. sometimes I have to force her to eat because she doesnt want to.. then after she eats she gets all giggley and says.. oh i guess it was that.. so we will see whats up with her blood levels.

Over all she is doing good. Making friends, missing her old ones ALOT. Dealing OK with the uniforms at school.. she wishes she had more clothes.. even withing the uniform rules.. she only has 4 shirts and 2 pair of pants she likes.. OH WELL..SUCK IT UP GIRLY!!..lol

Mycah

Mycah is in JROTC and he is very excited. When we were in Missouri he was in the Civil Air patrol. They met once a week and it was run through the Air Force. Each week they did tests, or PT (exercise), they learned how to march, they learned military formations, etc. He LOVED IT. They did over night and weekend trips and learned search and rescue. He learned that was his thing. He was a natural leader and in fact he won an award for most improved cadet that year.

Unfortunatly here the closest one is at least 30 minutes away, but they high school has JROTC which is run through the army. 2 times a week they do book work, 2 times a week they do drills like leanring how to march and stuff, and then one day a week they do PT. He gets a full class A uniform for free from the school. He has to wear it every Wednesday. Well that was yesterday. I did not get his pants hemmed for him in time so he was unable to wear it yesterday. We had an emotional morning yesterday morning because of it. First off he waited until Tuesday night to tell me he needed them hemmed and there was nothing I could do, but I got some double sided tape.. to try and hold the hem.. it wasnt working. SO he got in trouble and he had to do 100 pushups.. he was told he had to wear it today (thursday) or else he had to do 200 pushups. So I ran out yesterday found a lady who would hem his pants right on the spot for me. paid $12 and she did it.. so today he is the ONLY kid in the WHOLE school wearing this uniform.. Jr and I are afraid he will not emtionally be able to handle the comments. We talked about it and I was ready to go in and talk to his teacher and tell him Mycah wont be able to handle it.. but Mycah says he is ok and he can do it.. I am going to be prepared .. either for a phone call.. or Mycah when he comes home.

I worry about that boy. I need to get him an appointment here with a Psych so we can evaluate his meds and stuff.. I am making him take his meds in front of me every day to make sure he is really taking them.. he has been having alot of ups and downs, so I dont know if some days he is not taking the meds.. or if maybe his hormones and stuff are effecting the meds.. and they need to be ajusted.. We will see I guess..

Anyways. he looked GREAT. He is so hansome. and he is so proud of himself!

HI

So, I have decided to start blogging on a website other then myspace so other family members can come and read my blogs and see how our life is going.

This past year has been nusy busy. At the beginning of the year Kendra got her drivers permit, JR went to school for afew months and 2 weeks after his graduation, we were packed and moving cross country. The kids still had 2 months of school to go, so the kids and I went to TN to stay with Jrs Grandma Hamlin. While we stayed there, Jr continued on to GA where we will be for 3 years at Ft Stewart.

After 2 months, Jr came back and picked up Jenna, Mycah and I, and we moved to GA. Kendra went to California to work for the summer.

We are all here now, living in housing on base. Kendra is home, and all 3 kids have started the new school year already.

I love the house we are in, even though we have had some problems with it already. It is the nicest house we have ever had.. and the first time we have had a garage! That's a first for us..lol

While in TN we had to get rid of one of the dogs. We had 4, and we were trying to narrow it down to 2 dogs, which is all you are allowed to have one base. Sadly we got rid of Windi, Kendras beautiful green eyed Lemon Beagle. We were unable to get rid of Boone.. Willow had a back injury and we did not want to get rid of her because of that, and Zoey is the oldest and our first pup so we just couldnt get rid of her. Not that it was easy to get rid of Windi because it wasnt, but it had to be done. So we are down to 3 dogs and it is going ok. Somedays I wish we did not have any dogs, and other times I love them to pieces and I could not imagine not having them. Until we get in trouble we will keep all 3.

Well I guess that is about it for now. Life is getting into place. Jr goes to work 5 days a week, the kids to go school every morning, and I sleep all morning after the kids leave and clean and unpack in the afternoons..
