So Kendra got her braces off in Feb. She is now in a retainer and this month we are FINALLY done paying off her braces!!
But this week we have started Jenna in her long road of orthodontics..LOL. One kid out one kid in. I guess that is better then have 2 in at once. Luckily I have had mycah checked and they said he looks pretty darn good and doesnt look like he will need anything.
And as for Jenna. Yes she is 10, and alittle young, but I wanted to get her checked NOW to start a plan, to get her looked at now so they could decide now what they will be wanting to do, and they get get started as soon as she is ready. They actually said she wont be ready for full braces until maybe next summer (summer of 2011). But there is definatly ONE problem tooth. It is turned the wrong way. Now as a single tooth that isnt too big a deal. BUT it is on top and when when bites and closes her mouth, it is causing pressure on her bottem tooth and it is pushing the bottom teeth forward and affecting the gumline too. He said he would hate to wait a whole year and see how much more damage that tooth has done.
So they have decided to put her in a retainer for a year. With a retainer full time they can start to move some of her teeth now.. which will actually help with LESS time in braces later!! SO we went yesterday and we got the retainer.
YEAH.. not Jenna was all giggles at first. With her lisp, and the way the spit all got backed up, she thought was funny. But by the end of the night she was alittle soar and really annoyed with it. Her mouth was soar this morning so I gave her some pain meds before school. But already in one day her tooth is moving some. They want to see her again in 6 weeks to ajust the tightness, but if it gets loose before then they want me to bring her back to have it tightened.
well thats about it from updates from me :)
